Why are wins important? Do I have to do them?

It is very important to write down your three daily wins! These are important as they can help you  to notice encouraging differences in your life, and give your brain a dopamine hit to let it know that you’re happy with what you’ve written down and would like to do it again.

We advise you to be patient. After a while, those differences will translate into the weight loss you desire. Because the changes in your eating habits are so subtle, it’s only when you write them down each day that your mind can fully appreciate the full effect.

Psychologists have found that writing down three positive things that have happened in your day has a more powerful effect than just thinking about them. Writing down your wins in a dedicated notebook which you leave by your bed can have a profound effect on your progress. If you find using an app on your phone or tablet easier to remember, then that’s a great option too. Just find what works for you, but we would recommend recording them somewhere so you can revisit them at a later stage.
